What PackOps processes

PackOps processes the authenticated Shopify store domain, installation and location references, product and variant references, fulfilled quantities, fulfillment status, and packaging rules needed to maintain packaging inventory and reorder planning.

Fulfillment identifiers are converted into keyed pseudonyms. PackOps does not retain raw webhook bodies, raw order or fulfillment identifiers, customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, payment details, or customer notes.

Why the data is used

The data is used to map products to packaging specifications, calculate packaging consumption from verified fulfillments, maintain location-specific balances, forecast reorder timing, and submit non-binding packaging quote or reorder requests.

Retention

• Expired Shopify sessions: 7 days after expiry.
• Terminal webhook receipts: 30 days after processing.
• Resolved replay records: 90 days after resolution.
• Delivery attempts: 180 days after completion.
• Integration receipts: 365 days after receipt.

Business records such as packaging specifications, inventory history, forecasts, and submitted requests remain available to the merchant until the app is uninstalled or deletion is requested. Encrypted backups follow a bounded rotation schedule. Redaction tombstones take precedence over retention and are applied before restored data can return to service.

Shopify privacy requests

PackOps authenticates Shopify privacy webhooks. Customer data access and customer redaction requests return no customer identity records because PackOps does not retain them. A shop redaction request is durably queued before PackOps responds, then removes the matching shop installation generation, sessions, and tenant data. A pseudonymous redaction tombstone is retained only to prevent deleted data from reappearing after backup recovery. A legitimate reinstall newer than the redaction request is preserved.

Security and service providers

Data is stored on a restricted production runtime. Backups are encrypted before transfer to a separate controlled host. Teal Packaging limits administrative access to authorized operators and does not sell PackOps data.
